Yanaka Beer Hall

Chug, chug, chug!

We spent the afternoon walking through Ueno park and finished off at Yanaka Beer Hall. It's a quaint little wooden house and it looks really old, but inside you can find nice hospitality and a good selection of beer. There's seating both indoors and outdoors but we went with the outdoor seating on this beautiful day.

We tried their small "flight" of beers and generally we preferred the lighter, less bitter ales. We ordered some small plates of white fish and olives and ham to share, and they were delicious and refreshing.

We highly recommend coming here after exploring Ueno, and you can also move on to check out Nishi-Nippori.
