Close to Narita Airport is Naritasan Shinsho-ji, one of the major temples in the area. Enoy a slow trot through the Omotesando main street, which is filled with small shops and restaurants serving Unagi. We tried some of the soy ice cream from one of the shops and it was the best we had on the trip.
The picturesque street; many shops were closed as we arrived early from a red-eye flight.

The temple itself is impressive and the grounds are huge. Spend some time enjoying the turtle pond or dipping your hands in their refreshing well water. We came during the spring time and the flowers down by the pond were lovely.
It is very close to Narita Airport. So if you need to kill some time before the flight, this should 100% be on your itinerary!
