Katong is one of my favorite areas in Singapore, loved by both locals and tourists alike. It represents something typical of Singapore; the air-conditioned modernity superimposed on cultural and historic beauty.

I'd recommend starting your route from I12. It's a good startpoint close to Marine Parade MRT station.
