Kyoto Matcha
I think Kyoto has a few matcha shops and among them is Kurasu Ebisugawa, a cosy little matcha store. My sister loves their matcha and she has pretty high standards, so we dutifully visited the store.
Hot matcha is great! I think we got the ceremonial one?
Coming from sunny Singapore, I always gotta try my iced matcha. It's a great store and the matcha is nice. They have indoor seating which provides a comfortable break from shopping. My uncle stopped by with us and we had a good chat while sipping our drinks.
It's nice that you can also browse their shelves of products and we bought more matcha to take home for my sister.

It's a bit further away from the Ninenzaka touristy areas but you can probably visit here after visiting Nijo Castle or something.
