Is Victoria Falls worth visiting?

The Smoke That Thunders!

Victoria Falls is easily one of the most impressive natural formations I have ever seen.

In a local language, the name for the waterfall is Mosi-oa-Tunya which also means "The Smoke That Thunders"; pretty cool name. That name is officially recognised, but an older name "The Place of the Rainbow" is also in use, which comes about from the constant spray of the waterfall. Fortunately, I was able to see this firsthand.

Is Victoria Falls worth visiting? Absolutely, YES, and there's many more things you can do in the area.

I have been to Niagara Falls as well, and I can say I was easily more impressed by Victoria Falls. The sound from the waterfall is truly thunderous; standing on the edge of the viewing point, you already get a massive spray of water from such a distance.
